Welcoming Catholics Home (WCH) is our parish invitation to fallen away Catholics to “come and see”. It is a 6 week support program helping fallen away Catholics return to the active practice of their faith.
During the 6 weeks, they share their stories in a relaxed non judgmental atmosphere. Many have been away for a long time and are confused about Catholic beliefs.
The information is presented on a basic level on the Post Vatican 11 Church, the mass, the creed, and reconciliation to bring attendees up to date. The brochure lays out the material in a simple step by step easy to follow manner. Graduated of the program particularly treasure the presentations on the Mass and Reconciliation.
Pope francis exhorts us to be constant missionaries. However, often many good practicing Catholic don’t know quite what to say to fallen away members of their family or their friends. They don’t feel they have anything to invite them to.
Problem solved! Just hand the WCH brochure to a fallen away Catholic that you know. This is your invitation. You don’t have to say or do anything else if you don’t choose to. Please invite those you know to consider renewing their relationship with the Catholic church.
WCH brochures are available at all worship sites. The program begins on Wednesday, February 22, in the Fr. Vogt room across form the chapel at Good Shepherd at 7pm WOn’t you ask someone you love to come home?
